The last two rows matter
We sell private safaris and we are telling you that two common situations do not need one. That is deliberate.
On a short single-camp trip with a limited budget, the money buys you more as a better camp in a better location than as sole use of a vehicle. And some people genuinely like sharing — the conversation over a sundowner is part of the trip for them.
The question we ask instead
How much would other people in your vehicle bother you, one to ten?
Below four, save the money. Above seven, book it and cut a night if you have to. Between, we will quote both and let the number decide.
What private does not buy
- More animals. The same lion is in the same place either way.
- A better camp. Private is about the vehicle and the guide, not the bed.
- A guarantee. Nothing produces a leopard on demand.
